1. Use a comfortable grip This is the start of everything. If you cannot even have a comfortable grip that suits you, I believe you will know what will happen if try to hit the ball. There are 3 common grips, which is interlocking grip, overlapping grip, and 10 fingers grip. Every grip has its own advantage and disadvantage. So find the one that is most comfortable to use.
2. Well balanced and relaxed stance Now that you have a good grip, you will need a balanced stance. You will need to divide your weight equally between left and right. Sounds hard? Actually it is very simple. When you stand, let your body straight, bend your body down and let your hand hanging around. After that you can stand straight back again with your weight divided equally. It will also help you relaxed, since your leg will be stretched a bit as if you pulled a rubber and released it.
3. The back swing is not really a swing There is no need for you to swing your club backwards. Even though it called a back swing, actually what you need to do is just to lift your club behind your back. Imagine yourself like pulling an arrow from a bow and ready to shoot. Whether you do it fast or slow, it does not matter as long it is your usual tempo.
4. Natural down swing and follow through Again as if you release the arrow from a bow, you do not need to push the arrow. Same in golf swing, you do not need to add more power when you begin your down swing. Just let it go naturally.
